...if you had a nearly new MT43 trials tires that didn't work well on your bike...
...and you realized at the last Endurofest your balance and slow speed technical riding skills are nowhere what they used to be 30+ years ago and that you really need to get out and practice...
...and around the corner from the campground in Hurricane you stayed at for the 2016 Endurofest lived a nice retired couple with a fairly clean 1986 Honda TLR200 Reflex for sale?
After quite some time collecting some parts and looking for a Yamaha TY175 in decent condition I ended up buying the Honda recently. It's not a "real" trials bike, although with some mods people do well on them in the vintage trials classes.... and it's not a "real" Enduro even though it is street legal...
What it is might just be perfect! I can hop on it and ride to the trails right from the house without the hassle of having to load it up and truck or trailer it there... it's geared low enough to practice low speed "trials" type obstacles... and it will go fast enough to take it down the trails or roads at higher speeds...
Actual pics and more to follow.... for now here is a link to a picture of what they look like: www.speedandsport.com/files/1513/8083/3080/honda_TLR200.jpg

I would get a pit bike. Trials bikes are not hot sellers.

Thanks Morley... seems to be a nice bike even though it is a Honda. LOL Have a few things to fix, mount tires, and some basic maintenance and we'll see how she does...
Previous owner gave me a new seal for the clutch release arm... said after you ride it a while it starts to leak. I thought that really odd and also noticed the original crankcase breather/oil separator was missing. He said the person he bought it from removed the "smog stuff".
Got it home and pulled the dipstick.... crankcase seemed pressurized and distinct smell of gasoline! Looked closer and saw that someone had plumbed the crankcase breather hose directly to the gas cap! Drained the oil and no sign of oil dilution but it could not have been good to have the crankcase pressurizing the fuel tank and vice-versa. Breather on it's way from ebay and I'm pretty sure I won't need to replace the seal now.

Unfortunately I don't think about "resale" when it comes to bikes... I'm sure I have more in to my bikes that I could ever sell them for!

Pit bikes are cool.

Cool score Mark! I had a reflex many years ago, one bike I wished I never would have got rid of. I used to ride it to work a lot and go out trailing with it on the weekends. They are real fun playing around in rocks really slow.
Question authority, think for yourself!

Thanks Scott... that's the feeling I had when I saw it... looks like a lot of fun!!!
After Asco's comments I did a little research... found many similar "wish I never sold it" comments and it appears they are somewhat popular in vintage twin shock trials classes... Many have been stripped of street equipment and it looks like I could easily sell mine for a lot more than I paid... the NLA "street legal" parts on their own bring premium prices and mine is very complete, So maybe this is one bike I'm not upside down on? lol

Hmmmm - I am deep in the process of creating a brandy-new website with forum for the Hodaka club (more announcements here when it goes live) When I get done with that, maybe we need to add a Vintage Honda "Enduro" site to the stable of brands represented . . .
I do own a street plated 71 CT70 . . .

IF it isn't one thing, it's another.
