That one is pretty rough, would likely sell for 400-500 here in Los Angeles as pictured. It does not appear to be a '74 model, the paint scheme and the exhaust pipe are pointing more towards 1970-71. Being an earlier model helps the value a bit once restored.

I don't know much about it. I was guessing it's an automatic but if you are saying it's a 70-71 maybe it is a 4 speed with clutch hmmm

I did a little more research and I think you are right 1971

It looks like a 1970 automatic clutch. My dad bought my brother and I a pair of these back in the day. We would ride those bikes from sun up to sun down ever chance we could for several years when we lived in upstate New York then more when we moved to Texas. I rode that little bike to high school when I got a permit. Mine was candy apple red and my brothers was candy orange/gold. The orange bike was a manual clutch. I learned to ride a big boy bike on bro's machine. It said Honda Trail. The auto clutch read Honda like yours. I sold them a few years ago..Dang but they went to a good home.
Yep those are awesome little bikes. I have so many fond memories riding the '70's. It started my love for MC's that has always been with me.
Good luck and it's great to see another pulled out of the bone pile.

It looks pretty complete ,not too much rust, and the paint looks not to bad. Offer $250, the seat is really shot. The bars are pretty easy to bend back. The motor is stone ax simple. Good luck. It looks like a real nice find.

Looks like a '70 3 speed auto.

Interesting that the top covers for the shocks are missing. Headlight bezel is broken too, bummer. Looks pretty complete otherwise. If you can get it for less than $400, jump on it IMO. Cool little bikes, and lots of parts still available from Honda, and there's huge aftermarket support. They're fun and fairly easy bikes to restore. GL!
