Not sure if you looked closely. Buy most folks on the site are Yamaha based. You are certainly welcome here, but may not get as much in the way of responses, as most our expertise will not be in Honda!

That being said, we do like pictures!

Probably best to go with what you feel is the best routing for free operation, no sharp corners & things. Unless of course your doing a resto & has to be right. Can't help with parts sourcing but ebay i suppose. I always wanted a CR480 but i worked for the yamaha dealer so had a YZ490J in "82 & used to get regularly thrashed by a CR480 in "83. Main problem was me not fast enough but easier to blame the bike--Red was faster. We love pics please--even though it'll depress me lol.

You might also try Partzilla.com. Honda had pretty decent parts supplies, and many are still available via online dealers.

A friend of mine has a CR480. He modified the rear half of the bike to make it into a twin shock for the evolution class in vintage mx. We both race +50 and if you don’t beat him to the first corner you’re going to eat a lot of roost until you can make a pass.

I had a CR450, it was a fun bike to ride but 4 speed trans spacing was horrible. The 480 5 speed was much better, I wish I had one back in the day.
Thanks Mark
