Mikuni carb autolube inlet #1
Greetings old Yami enduro tragics, picked up a couple of box of bits which the current zombie apocalypse has enabled the time to cobble the parts into one soon to be working machine, but the carby has got me stumped does the mikuni pictured allow for the autolube to go directly into the carby or is it from the older model where autolube pumps into the cylinder its not a big deal as i have both style cylinders, it seems very hard to get any definitive information on these carbies some very conflicting info and is the spigot pictured simply a breather. Any info gratefully accepted. Cam

Welcome!

Hard to answer your question without knowing what model and year you are working on.

Also, carb should have a small number stamped in it... sometimes on the front across the choke boss or on the other side on a small flat spot near the front of the carb. Picture of the other side would help as that's where the oil injection port would be.

311 is for 1972 and 1973 DT2 and DT3 (250cc).

Two stroke feed is from the pump to the barrel, not the carb (he says as he rushes outside to check his own bike!:ROFLOL ).

And model is??? 100? 125? 175? 250? 360? 400? All of the above? (Yes, I see 250 in your username, but that could mean something else.)

How about at least the first few number/letters of the frame and engine numbers?

You'll need to look closer at carb for number. I think what your seeing is the cast-in "ISO" marking, not "180".

It's a tiny stamped number. Might be very hard to see under the paint. Number should be on the front of the choke boss on that carb.

Mark

Get your eyes tested :ROFLOL . That's a 311 stamp that I can see, hence my post.

Gr8uncleal the photo you are referring to is not the OP’s photo of his carb, the OP posted pictures of his carb and it is a spigot mount carb. The picture you are referring to with a “311” stamp is a sample picture another member posted telling the OP where to look for the numbers, but it is a picture of a flange mount earlier carb.

To clarify... the picture I posted was simply to help find the "mystery" carb number so hopefully it could be identified.

(My picture isn't of a Yamaha carb nor was the picture intended to imply it was the correct carb for any 74-76 Yamaha... it definitely isn't.)
