Yep, I use about a cup (measuring cup). You may want to try more or less, may work better.

I've thought if this was something I needed to do often, i would look for an old cheap dryer at a second hand or thrift store.

I use an old dryer that doesnt heat, wrap in bubble wrap and towels and let'r spin. Quite noisey
